Star Anis
Star anise, found in the regions of Amazonas and San Martín at altitudes between 500 and 1,500 meters above sea level, is rich in antioxidants, essential oils (mainly anethole), and flavonoids. It helps alleviate menopause symptoms and promotes relaxation and better sleep due to its calming properties. However, star anise is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women because of its potent effects. Excessive consumption can lead to toxicity, as it contains compounds that may have strong neurological effects if overused.
