Garlic

Garlic, grown between 500 to 3,500 meters above sea level in various regions of Peru, contains allicin, a natural antibiotic, and powerful antioxidants. Its blood-thinning properties help lower cholesterol and manage hypertension, promoting heart health. Garlic also provides relief from colds and sore throats due to its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. It strengthens the immune system, helping to prevent infections and reduce symptoms of respiratory issues. However, garlic may interfere with anticoagulants, so individuals on blood-thinning medications should consume it with caution.

  4. Strain and Store: Strain the oil through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a glass container. Store in a sealed bottle or jar in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  5. Use: Drizzle the infused oil over salads, roasted vegetables, or grilled fish, or use it as a dip for bread.
  6. Note

  7. This Garlic and Lemon Infused Olive Oil combines the heart-healthy properties of garlic and olive oil, both known for their ability to reduce blood pressure and manage hypertension. Allicin, the active compound in garlic, helps relax blood vessels, improving circulation and lowering blood pressure, while the antioxidants in lemon and olive oil further enhance these cardiovascular benefits.
